No harmful effect from radiations from mobile towers

In India, people have misplaced concerns about radiation from mobile towers which can jeopardize India`s path to seamless mobility.
Recently a a joint conference on Electromagnetic Emissions in Mobile Telephony and its Health Impact at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on Thursday was jointly organized by IIT-D and Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, in association with Health Environment Foundation, New Delh.
Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad speaking on this occasion said: people have misplaced concerns about radiation from mobile towers which can jeopardize India`s path to seamless mobility.
This question troubles me a lot. Why this is not an issue in the US, Europe or China? Why some of the biggest NGOs have taken this issue in India, why should you presume? There is no concrete evidence of any harmful effect from such radiations as of now.
