Platinum is another precious metal like gold but there is no big response for this metal. Despite this, Platinum has seen an excellent growth of 24 per cent, despite it being a very challenging year. Platinum Guild Internationals (PGI) Retail Barometer survey, conducted between January and February 2016, covered over 21 retail companies with about 310 outlets in key platinum markets across India.
Rings are the fastest moving categories in platinum, followed by earrings and pendant sets. There has also been increase in men buying platinum chains and bracelets.
