The current 5 year Assembly period in Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly comes to a close on 22nd May, 2016.
There are just 3 months left for this closing.So, The Election Commission has started full-fledged preparations to conduct elections in Tamil Nadu.
Chief Election Commission officers had a meeting to fix the exact date of elections in Tamil Nadu.
It was decided that the election for all 234 constituencies will be completed in a single day.
Based on this, the Election Commission has decided the exact dates for elections in Tamil Nadu.
The election schedule has been prepared accordingly.There is a regulation that the election routines should be finished within a certain time period.
It is expected that the schedule for Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Elections will be released by the next week. It is gathered that the schedule may be released on 2nd March.
