Mayawati suggests civil society to take Lokpal issue to public

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today suggested the Civil Society not to be adamant on the Jan Lokpal Bill as it would be `tough` for the members of the present Parliament to pass the Bill.
``The members of the Civil Society should take up the matter during the 2014 general elections so that the new members of the Lok Sabha were elected on the basis on the recommendation of the Jan Lokpal Bill. Then there would be no derailment of the proposed Bill,`` she said.
Talking to media persons before leaving for New Delhi, Mayawati said the tough attitude of the members of the civil society on some points could derail the entire process.
``If the present Lok Sabha do not approve the Bill then it would more frustrating for the Civil Society,`` she claimed.
