With schools reopening on June 15 for the new academic session, a vacation bench comprising Justices B S Chauhan and Swatanter Kumar agreed to the request of senior advocate P P Rao and TN additional advocate general Guru Krishna Kumar and fixed hearing on the appeal for Tuesday.

Supreme Court has ordered continuance of Samacheer Kalvi for 1st and 6th standard. For remaining classes expert group has been formed to review the implementation of Samacheer Kalvi.

The expert group has been asked to submit report within 2 weeks in Madras High Court. Thereafter, Madras High Court has been directed to hear the petition on a daily basis and give verdict within a week.

Still the verdict is out no classes will be held for Standard Std 2 to 5 and 7 to 10. Class 10 students are jittery about facing public exam as the commencement of class will be further delayed by 3 weeks.

The 9 member expert committee headed by Chief Secretariat consists of experts from NCERT.

It is unclear which syllabus will be followed for students of Class II, III, IV, V, VII, VIII, IX, X students are keeping fingers crossed.
