Soon make toll gate payments through electronic means

The road transport minister Nithin Gatkari has stated that toll charge payment will soon be made electronic. Addressing the gathering at the “Make in India” meet that took place in Mumbai today he said that the payment of toll charges waiting in long queues is soon to turn obsolete. About 360 toll gates are set to turn into electronic ones by the month of April. This is likely to increase gradually. The ministry has got into tie-up with two banks for the same.
The distance of national highways is 96,000 as of now. This is likely to get increased to 1.52 lakhs in the next three months, he added.
