Idea is in expansion spree with 4G LTE

Idea Cellular is set to expand its 4G LTE services in 29 towns of Tamil Nadu including Chennai. In just two months of introducing its 4G LTE services, the mobile network has expanded to over 20 districts including Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Tirupur, and Erode all of which account to 30 percent of overall population in these circles.
The service is already launched in South India in Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, and Madhya Pradesh as per plans. The next phase of launch is at Maharashtra, Goa, and North East by end of March month, said Rajat Mukarji, the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Idea Cellular. By June this year, over 750 towns are targeted to have 4G LTE footprints.
Covering about 50 percent of telecom market and making 60 percent of its overall profit, Idea Cellular makes it possible with its 1800 MHz 4G spectrum in 10 telecom circles.
All idea users can get their 3G SIM upgraded to 4G. To note, price of 4G SIM are more or less the same as 3g plans.
