Survey of smartphone users worldwide

A survey has said that the number of smartphone users worldwide has increased significantly, and that, by 2020, there will a total of 6.1 billion users. The survey was conducted by leading Chinese language Internet search provider Baidu.
The survey said that 60 percent of the people who own smartphones, use the device as a communication tool and that 23 percent use it as a companion. The remaining 8 percent use it as a social media tool. 9 percent treat it as an entertainment device.
Those users aged 20 years and below use their devices for music and entertainment. Those between 20 and 29 years of age consider their phones an inseparable companion. 40 percent of all users worldwide installed between 21 and 50 apps on their phone. About 58 out of 100 people have less than 20 apps.
Says the survey, Battery-related overheating issues are particularly prominent among users across the globe.
Speed related issues can be handled by de-cluttering RAM which can result in a 60 per cent speed improvement.
