Smartphone at less than Rs. 500 to be launched tomorrow

Indian handset maker Ringing Bells has announced that it will launch a smartphone that will be priced under Rs. 500. The launch will be held later this week, said the Noida based company. The company said, The launch is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s vision for empowering India to the last person, transforming India`s growth story. The phone will be popularly priced at under Rs 500. This event and launch stands as a true testimony of success of the latest initiatives taken by the Government of India. Ringing Bells will start with the assembly of handsets in Phase-I and aims at full indigenous development of the feature-rich smartphones.
The smartphone Freedom 251 will be launched don February 17 by Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Last year, the world`s most affordable smartphone was announced by DataWind. The Rs. 999 phone was announced along with the fact that DataWind was tying cup with Reliance Communications for the project.
Ringing Bells had launched a 4G smartphone at Rs. 2999 recently.
