25 DSPs transferred

DGP Ashok Kumar on 10th February has transferred 25 DSPs of Tamil Nadu Police Department.
During the month of May, the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are to be held. In view of this, the election commission has ordered that the police officers who have been in the same place for more than 3 years should be transferred.
In view of the foregoing, police officers in various ranks have been transferred during the last one month. DGP Ashok Kumar on Wednesday has transferred 25 DSPs from Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Virudhunagar, Coimbatore, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruvarur and Villupuram.
The transferred DSPs will take charge in the new places in a day or two.
