New app can keep track of water from private tankers

Water Monitor, a tablet based application is currently being tested. The app keeps a tab on the delivery of water by private tankers by visually capturing every load that enters apartment and housing complexes. The app is being developed by Bengaluru based start up ApnaComplex.
Says one of the officials at ApnaComplex, The app is being tested at Jains Green Acres in Pallavaram, VGN Minerva in Nolambur, and TVH properties in Alwarpet, Velachery and RA Puram.
The app is loaded on the security personnel`s tablet. It captures the tanker supply and billing. The security also clicks photographs of the tanker, which are timestamped by the app. The reason for this is to make sure there are no spurious entries of deliveries made.
The bill number can also be recorded in the app. The App keeps track of water consumption and the trend of water consumption in the building. It helps determine demand on holidays and weekends. It can also test the quality of the water that has been supplied, by random sampling.
