Darshan Ticket charges at the famous Tirupathi temple go up
The special committee recommended TTD (Tirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam Board)  that the charges for Special Darshan Tickets should be revised upwards from Rs. 300/- per person to Rs. 500/-. 

As some member raised objections to this proposal, the ticket charges were increased from Rs. 300/- to Rs. 400/-.

The special committee had also recommended that the system of offering 1 Laddu prasadam free item per ticket and 2 laddu for Special Darshan ticket should be stopped.It recommended giving additional laddus at an extra Rs. 25/-.

A decision to increase the VIP Break Darshan ticket from Rs. 500/- to Rs. 800/- and Suprapada Sevai ticket from Rs. 240/- to Rs. 500/- and Thoomalai Archanai ticket from Rs. 440/- to Rs. 1000/-.

The special committee has also recommended the introduction of Udhayam & Asthamanam (dawn & dusk) sevais.

However, there have been differences of opinions among the members of TTD regarding stopping of free Laddus for tickets, the price increase proposed for Rs. 300/- ticket, etc.

The recommendations of the special committee will be discussed during the Trustee Board Meeting scheduled to day to be conducted at Tirumalai. A decision will be take on these proposals and announced after this meeting.

In the meanwhile, TTD has decided to persist with the current reservation booking system for Arjitha Sevai.
