Benegal panel invites suggestions from public on certification

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had on January 1, constituted the Shyam Benegal committee to look into the functioning of the censor board. This committee has sought views of film viewers on the certification process being followed by CBFC and suggestions within the ambit of the existing Act, Rules and guidelines which have withstood the scrutiny of various courts, to enable them to finalize their recommendations.
