Linking Aadhar cards with census records commences

The activity of preparing a register of census records and linking it with Aadhar Card numbers commenced in Chennai.
Central government has been undertaking the activity of preparing a Census list according to 1995 Citizenship Act & 2003 Citizenship Act and linking it with Aadhar Card number.
Several employees including census officers have been deployed for taking house-to-house visits and collecting data. They have also been trained for this purpose.
They will be on duty from 18th January till 5th February to complete collecting data.
The Public have been requested to cooperate by showing their family ration card and other relevant details during the visit of the above officials.
