Kanbathum Poi is a film which has Anjali and Amzath in the lead roles. This film is directed by debutante director Sarvesh who was earlier an assistant to director Sasi. The film is a women-oriented subject and an action thriller. The entire film is set in Coonoor and Anjali plays the role of a beautician.
When asked director Sarvesh that why he chose Anjali for the role he said it is a bold subject and he wanted someone who would do justice to the role. Anjali is a natural performer, and is apt for this role. When he narrated the script to her, she liked it a lot and immediately agreed to be a part of the film. She has given around 45-50 days for the shoot, which, the director believe, is the longest she`s allotted to anyone in a long time.
