Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to award medals for 1686 Police Personnel

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister`s Constabulary Medals & Tamil Nadu Chief Minister`s Medals will be awarded as a recognition of the outstanding services & devotion to duty to 1686 Uniformed Personnel from the Police, Fire, and Rescue Services & Prison Services Departments.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister`s Constabulary Medals will be awarded to 1500 personnel belonging to the police department in the rank of police constables.
Another 120 medals will be awarded to the personnel of from fire & rescue services and 60 more medals will be awarded to personnel Tamil Nadu Chief Minister`s Medals from the prison services department.
Tamil Nadu Chief minister`s Medal for excellence will be awarded to 6 officers from technical & specialised services (2 each from police radio branch, dog squad, and police photographers).
Officers in the ranks of constables and head constables will receive Rs. 3000/-. Officers in the rank of Sub-inspectors & Inspectors will receive Rs. 4000/-.
The monthly medal allowance of Rs. 200/- will come into effect from for the recipients from 1st February.
