The Tamil University in Thanjavur is all set to unveil one more of the Tamil script inspired buildings. The latest letter to join is the letter mi.

The Rs. 3.2 crore building will join zh and du. Mi will be followed by that and na. The letters, when completed, will spell Tamizh Nadu. When complete, the five buildings will spell out Thamizh Nadu, just as former TN CM MG Ramachandran, who inaugurated the campus in 1980s had dreamt. You will be able to see Thamizh Nadu from an aerial view, said a senior university official.

Speaking about the project, one of the engineers said, Mi, which is spread over 22,000 sq. ft., was tricky to make because of the curves in the letter. In fact, all the letters have curved lines and this can make construction difficult. The other challenge was what rooms to incorporate on the curves.
