Government saves Rs. 6500 Crores per year through Aadhar Card

Aadhar Card has become the mainidentity source for obtaining Voter ID, Passport, and Driving Licence.

Central Government has resolved to introduce the link with Aadhar card along with PAN card in all transactions in order to check, control, and eliminate illegal activities and to ensure that the subsidies extended reach only the right individuals.

Though Aadhar card is not made compulsory to avail all concessions/benefits offered by the central government, the introduction and implementation of Aadhar Cards has saved about Rs. 6500 Crores per year.

This information was revealed by the World Bank’s Chief Economic adviser Mr. Kaoshik Basu.

Mr. Koushik Basu was participating in the release of the Surevy Report on Digital technology when he informed the above news.

The introduction of Aadhar Card checks all illegal activities and also ensures that the economically backward class public receive all the subsidies and other welfare schemes.
