A new device has been invented for the benefit of the patients who are rendered unable to speak after the treatment for throat cancer.
Dr. Vishal Rao has invented this device. It has been named Ohm.
When throat cancer patients undergo operation, they are rendered unable to speak after the operation.
The new device, which protects the speech system, will be able to solve this problem.
Dr. Vishal Rao has also indicated that the device and the associated treatment will not be too expensive.
In India, around 25000 patients suffer from cancer every year.
Dr. Vishal Rao has said that the new device would be a boon for them
when they will not lose their speech ability.
