Pongal Special buses to be operated from today at Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus in Koyambedu

Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa announced that transport corporations will operate special bus services across the state between January 9 and 14 in view of the Pongal festival.
Special buses will be operated from Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT) in Koyambedu from today to all the district cities and important towns in Tamil Nadu. 4,682 buses will be operated from Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT) in Koyambedu till 14th January. Similarly 7,942 special buses will be operated from important towns during the same period.
The same number of buses will be operated to facilitate the commuters to return to their destinations after Pongal, between January 15 and 19.
On the whole transport corporations will operate 12,624 special bus services across the state between January 9 and 14 in view of the Pongal festival.
