123 DSPs transferred throughout Tamil Nadu

DGP Ashok Kumar has ordered the transfers of 123 DSPs throughout Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections will be taking place soon. The Election Commission is now in full swing in the works related to the forthcoming elections. At the same time, the Tamil Nadu Police Department is also making necessary arrangements for the elections.
At this juncture, Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Lakhoni has asked the District Collectors to transfer officers who have completed three years or more in their present posting. As far as officers in the Police Department are concerned, the instructions are applicable to Range IGs, DIGs, Commandants of State Armed Police, SSPs, SPs, Additional SPs, Sub-Divisional Head of Police, Inspectors or equivalent ranks, who are responsible for deployment of police force in the districts at election time.
In view of the above 123 DSPs are transferred. The officers transferred will take charge in their posting places in a day or two.
