Get enrolled for PMs insurance at post offices

The Chief Postmaster General Charles Lobo said that people can enroll for Prime Minister`s insurance schemes at post offices. With an aim of promoting and taking these insurance schemes to the interior villages, these are given Tamil names.
Prime Minister`s Sudaroli Insurance scheme that provides 2 lakh insurance coverage per annum, Prime Minister`s Star protection scheme that provides 2 lakh insurance and Atal pension scheme were recently inaugurated at the head post office in Aavadi, by Charles Lobo. The inaugural event saw participation by various officials including Post master general, Merwin Alexander.
Anyone who already has a savings account with the bank or those who are at the verge of opening one with the post office are free to get enrolled for these insurance schemes. Furthermore, during the same event, postal ATM centres were opened at Chennai Rajaji Salai, Ambattur, and Aavadi head post offices.
