Pongal Gift Pack to be distributed in ration shops from tomorrow

Pongal Gift Pack announced by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday will be distributed from tomorrow in ration shops.
Pongal Gift Pack including Rs 100 cash will be distributed for 1.91 crore families in the state ahead of Pongal. 19 thousand 543 Sri Lankan Tamil refugees living in the state camps would benefit from this.
The gift pack comprises 1 kg rice and sugar each, two pieces of two-foot sugarcane, which is an essential part of Pongal festival, and Rs 100 cash.
