First ever Instagram photo exhibition in India

Instagram has holds its first ever photo exhibition in India on Jan 7 in Kolkata. The photos that will be on display are from the app. Instagram is owned by Facebook.
The exhibition, titled Celebration Diversity of Bengal, will display community generated Instagram posts and will feature a combination of images that cover the festivals of West Bengal and the images from the local Instagram community that capture the essence of the State.
In an official statement, Instagram said, People today are finding their visual voice through the images we capture and share with others, each image telling a story about what we`re experiencing. Images are universal. They transcend language and cultural barriers. The Instagram community in India has shown its inclination towards portraying cultural nuances using the power of mobile app.
