CM Jayalalithaa announces gift pack for pongal festival

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ms. Jayalalithaa has announced a special pongal festival gift pack for the Tamil people on the occasion of their most important festival.
For those who have Family Cards, 1kg of raw rice, 1 kg of sugar, 2’ long sugarcane piece and Rs. 100/- in cash.
To enable the public to celebrate Pongal better, this special gift pack will be made available in the ration shops before Pongal.
The offer of this special gift pack will be applicable for card holders who buy only rice, Owners of Police Family Cards, and Sri Lankan Tamils staying in refugee camps.
