3 more Post Offices in Chennai will have ATM facility from today (1st January)

Core banking services faculties are being introduced in Post offices all over the country.
In Chennai Region, out of the 572 Post Offices, 510 Post offices have Core Banking Services.
In the 1st phase, ATMs are to be installed in all Head Post Offices.There are about 171 ATMs owned by Postal Department.Out of this, 15 ATMs are located in Tamil Nadu.
It has been planned to install additional 19 ATMs in Post Offices in Tamil Nadu.
Currently, ATMs are available in the Head Post Offices located at Anna Salai, T Nagar, Mylapore, St, Thomas Mount and Tambaram in Chennai city.
3 more ATMs will be installed today (Friday, 1st January, 2016) in the Head Post Offices located in Chennai General Post office, Ambattur, and Aavadi Camp.
Special Express counters have been set up in the above Post offices to facilitate customers to open new savings accounts.
Customers are requested to avail these latest faculties in Post offices.
