AIADMK Minister Mariam Pitchai killed in a Road Accident

Environment and Pollution Control and Minorities Welfare N Mariam Pitchai died in a road accident in Tiruvelangurichi, about 40 km from Tiruchirappalli, early on Monday morning.
Mr Mariam Pitchai and another minister for Sports and Youth Welfare came to Tiruchi last night to garland the statue of `Perumbidugu Mutharaiyar` who was freedom fighter and great leader of the Mutharaiyar Community.
After garlanding the statute this morning at 7am, both the ministers left to Chennai by Tiruchi Collectorates staff cars to attend the swearing in ceremony function of newly elected MLA`s.
The body of Pitchai, aged 60, has been brought to Madurai.
