Tamil Nadu Police K. Ramanujam Head DGP Director General of Police

Mr K Ramanujam, an IPS officer of high standing, Friday assumed charge as the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Intelligence Chief of Tamil Nadu.
At a function held at the DGP`s office, Mr Ramanujam, a 1978 Batch IPS officer, assumed charge from outgoing DGP Bholanath.
Ramanujam, who was ADGP, Member, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, was promoted and appointed as DGP (Intelligence) on Thursday evening by the new government headed by AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa.
An official release said Mr Bholanath was holding additional charge as Head of State Police force after Ms Letika Saran went on leave for 52 days from March 24 to May 14.
