No change in civil service exam date, says UPSC sources

The Union Public Service Commission has decided to conduct Civil Service Examination from the 18th of this month as per earlier announcements.
The Civil Service exam for recruiting IAS, IPS and IFS officials is set to take place between 18th and 23rd of this month, said a statement by UPSC. The exam will see participation from over 15,000 candidates. This will take place at 23 centers across Tamil Nadu.
Due to severe flood in Tamil Nadu, affecting Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur and Cuddalore, people all over were badly affected. Hence, there were requests and suggestions for postponing the USPC exam from many political parties. However, UPSC has decided to conduct the exam on 18th of December as per plans. Hall ticket for the same can be downloaded at the official UPSC site - www.upsc.gov.in/. These hall tickets have got uploaded in the site day before yesterday.
