How to Dry Damaged Currencies and Books?

Due to heavy rain showers, the notebooks, certificates, property documents, currencies, and other important paper materials perhaps have got wet and drenched in water! Here are few tips to get them back to normal condition with ease:
· The material should not be kept near the gas stove or above hot vessels. The wet binding should be removed as the first step. Place it in a warm room with an electric bulb turned on
· To prevent these from getting stuck one over the other, you can hang it in a thread
· Blow warm air from devices like hair dryer or vacuum clean that gives out mild amount of hot air
· There is a simple technique to dry important documents. You can purchase silicone gel that is available in stores. Place them in small boxes along with the wet documents. Close the box and set it aside
· The silicone gel will be blue in color. This will absorb all the water or moisture content from the document and get turned into red color. Open the box and take away the silicone gel. If this is again kept open outside, it will get back to its original blue color. This can be again used to absorb water from the documents
· There may be books that are wet only in its binding. These can be dried by wiping with a cotton cloth
· To prevent books and notes from developing fungus, make use of Thymol. Thymol is a chemical which can be sprinkled on book shelves. Though the books are maintained dry, you may miss out on preventing it from fungus. Give equal importance to this too
· Make use of Acorus to subside the gas that comes out from moist books. Buy Acorus and place it in many places at home. This will change the smell of book and prevent it from insects
How to prevent currencies?
It is very easy to dry currency notes. Currencies are made of cotton materials. Buy hand made paper and arrange currency and the paper alternatively. This will absorb the water in no time. If the note has got dirt, you can even wash it with water and do the procedure.
