Fuji Film Vivid 250D Launched in Chennai

PID Pvt.Ltd, distributor for FUJIFILM Motion Picture Negatives in India launched the New Vivid 250 D Motion Picture Negative at a function held at the Prasad Film Laboratories Chennai on 8th May 2011.

The Technical presentation was done by Mr.Hironori Hiyoshi from FUJIFILM Corporation Japan. This was followed by the screening of Demo films made in USA & in India specially made for this occasion. Mr. Zenko from FUJIFILM’s Delhi office & Mr.Ujwal Nirgudkar, Technical Director,  PID Pvt.Ltd. were also present at the launch function.

Vivid-250D is a Daylight type negative film which has an Exposure Index of 250, is available in 35mm as well as16mm format. ETERNA Vivid 250D is the newest member of the Fujifilm ETERNA family of motion picture colour negative films.

The first film in this family Vivid 160 was developed specially for Indian Market is now popular worldwide. The second film in this family Vivid 500 was introduced in 2009.

With the introduction of Vivid 250D, the entire range of Vivid colour films is now available to Cinematographers.

A combination of E.I. 250 daylight film for outdoor shooting and E.I. 500 tungsten film for indoor shooting is often used in the production of motion pictures, and the introduction of ETERNA Vivid 250D adds a new dimension to the popular ETERNA Vivid series. As ETERNA Vivid 250D shares the same gradation and colour saturation characteristics with the tungsten type ETERNA Vivid 500 and ETERNA Vivid 160.

The combined use of ETERNA Vivid 250D with these two types produces distinctive and vivid images of various indoor and outdoor settings ranging from day scenes to night scenes. ETERNA Vivid 250D is not only an excellent film for shooting in exterior locations, but can also be used under mixed lighting conditions. Eterna Vivid 250D offers high colour saturation and high contrast.
