Half-yearly examinations postponed to 1st week of January

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has announced that the half-yearly examinations, usually conducted (scheduled this year from 7th December) during the 2nd half of December, are now postponed due to the heavy and incessant and heavy rains in the state. Half-yearly examinations may now be conducted during the 1st week of January.
As a number of holidays were to be declared due to the heavy and incessant rains, half-yearly examinations have been postponed to January 1st week.
