Significant Increase in Hiring

The Naukri Job Speak Index has stated that there is a 16 percent hike in hiring activities in Chennai during the month of October.
Out of all the sectors in the city, there was an 8% appreciation in hiring activity with the auto sector. Similarly, the FMCG registered a 34% increase in the year on year appreciation during the same period.
There was a significant increase of 15 percent and 21 percent with the real estate and pharma sectors respectively between October 2014 and October 2015. Similarly, it was 34 percent and 26 percent with IT software and healthcare industries respectively.
Contrary to all these, there was a dip in hiring by 21 percent in the oil and gas sectors. The maximum increase in hiring was seen in ITeS professionals which saw 49% increase in hiring. And with advertising, the increase was 50 percent. There was a decline of 13 percent in hiring engineering professionals.
