Today is the day when all children across India are celebrating their own day and commemorating the birth anniversary of their beloved leader and first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru.
The birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru is celebrated as Children`s day every year and it falls on the 14th of November. This day is celebrated so as to expand awareness among the people about the rights, care and education of children. It is on these little minds on which the future of the nation lies on. These adorable kids are inestimable gems our India and god`s own gift given to parents.
Jawaharlal Nehru turned out to be the PM of India immediately after the nation`s independence from British rule. Parents all over, you ought to think of how important your children are and alert your inner self about your kids.
Why is Children`s Day Celebrated?
Chacha Nehru, a great leader of India had worked a lot towards education, progress and welfare of children in the country. He showered immense love towards the children in the nation and was lovingly called as Chacha Nehru by them all. Intending to improve youth development in the country, he had established several educational institutions like the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Indian Institutes of Management and the Indian Institutes of Technology.
Nehru also did introduce the five year plan inclusive of primary education, free meals including milk to school kids so as to prevent them from malnutrition in India. The sole reason for celebrating the day as Children`s Day on the birthday of Nehru is the deep love and fervor of Chacha Nehru shown towards these little children.
