School and colleges closed today in eight districts of Tamil Nadu

There have been severe rains for the last few days throughout Tamil Nadu. At this juncture, 8 district collectors have declared holidays for schools and colleges today.
It has been announced that schools and colleges of Chennai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore and Tirunelveli districts will be closed today. Schools will also remain closed in Kanyakumari and Krishnagiri districts.
