Central government approves to set Rs. 7500/- as maximum bonus for employees (from Rs. 3500/-)

Central government approved today, Wednesday, 21st October, to raise the maximum bonus from the earlier limit of Rs. 3500/- to Rs. 7500/- in a proposal to amend the law.
The government has also approved to raise the maximum pay for eligibility for bonus from Rs. 10000/- to Rs. 21000/-.
Following these 2 approvals from the central government, it is worth noting that all employees drawing a monthly salary up to Rs. 21000/- will become eligible for bonus.
This amendment has been sent for parliament approval. Winter session of the parliament is scheduled by the end of November when this will be approved.
