Simbhu-Selvaraghavans Kaan dropped

The film Vaalu which had Simbhu in the lead role which was released with the great efforts of Vijay was a great hit. At this juncture, the film Idhu Namma Aalu which has Simbhu in the lead role is to be released soon. Moreover Simbhu is donning the lead role in the film Kaan directed by Selvaraghavan and Accham Enbathu Madamaiyada directed by Gautham Menon.
At this juncture, it has been announced that the film Kaan has been shelved.
Selvaraghavan while addressing the issue has tweeted, I have been hearing a lot of rumors about Kaan. I just want to clarify certain things. Kaan as a script is very close to my heart and is also an ambitious project the team and I want to do justice to our vision. The team and I have taken a mutual call to temporary put the project on hold. It`s great to know that we all share the same vision. We will resume the project next year once we have restructured the finances. In the meantime I will miss working with Simbhu and the crew.
Earlier film such as Kettavan, Valiban, Vettai Mannan and Vada Chennai which had Simbhu in the lead role were dropped. Now one more film has been dropped.
Now Selvaraghavan has decided to direct a film which will have Dhanush in the lead role. It is understood that Dhanush will be producing the film.
