UPSC INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION (IFS) , 2011

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Indian Forest Service Examination 2011 for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service Officers commencing from 9th July 2011.

Eligibility:
  • Age : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st July, 2011. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor`s degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botonoy, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor`s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

  • Number of attempts: The maximum number of attempts persmissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as (i) General Category - 4 attempts, (ii) OBC - 7 attempts (iii) SC/ST - No limit

Application Form: The candidates must apply Online at http://www.upsconline.nic.in/ , but candidates from certain area country can apply through prescribed format i.e. New Common Application Form offline also, which can be purchased from desgnated Head Post Offices/ Post Office by cash payment of Rs. 30/- .

Fee: Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).
