Paiyya to be remade in Hindi

Lingusamy who was in midst of financial crunches has now decided to foray into Bollywood. He had signed in Vidyut Jamwal, who previously worked with him in Anjaan, as the lead. The film will be the remake of his hit Tamil film, Paiyya. Director Lingusamy recently visited Mumbai to finalize the project. The female lead role is yet to be finalized. Other details about this project will be disclosed in a couple of days.
Paiyya is about the interesting journey of a young couple. A beautiful young woman who is an IT employee asks a jobless, happy-go-lucky man to escort her from Bangalore to Mumbai. The man incidentally is in love with her. The film revolves around the various obstacles that the couple faces during their trip, some bitter-sweet experiences and the manner in which they bond together during the journey - a typical story that has the potential to become a successful film in Bollywood.
