Thoongavanam to hit the screens on 6th November

Thoongavanam is an official remake of the superhit French film titled Sleepless Night. The story of the film is about a cop with a connection to the criminal underworld finds his secret life exposed when he and his partner are caught stealing cocaine from a powerful drug dealer, a move that puts his son`s life in jeopardy.
Kamal Haasan is donning the lead role in the film. Others in the cast are Trisha, Prakash Raj, Sampath, Asha Sarath and Kishore. Ghibran has composed the music. Kamal Haasan`s erstwhile assistant Rajesh has directed the film. The shooting of the film is over and the post-production works are going on in rapid pace with the intention of releasing the film for Deepavali. It has been mentioned that the film will be released release on November 6 (Friday) which means four days before Diwali. As the festival comes on a weekday (Tuesday), the makers of Thoongavanam are planning to use the Friday weekend too.
