Director who said no to Rajinikanth

Premam is a superhit film which had Nivin Pauly in the lead role. This film was directed by Alphonse Puthiran. Alphonse Puthiran had earlier directed the superhit Tamil film Neram which also had Nivin Pauly in the lead role.
Now superstar Rajinikanth has called upon Alphonse Puthiran and appreciated him for his wonderful work in Premam. Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya had asked director Alphonse Puthiran to ready a story for her father but it seems that the director has mentioned that he is not matured enough to director a big star like Rajinikanth. This has shocked the Tamil film industry.
