Microsoft to cut down 7800 jobs

According to a recent report by Microsoft, it is said that nearly 7800 jobs with the company will be cut down which counts to 7 per cent of the entire workforce with the giant. And Microsoft would write down a sum of $7.6 billion related to its business with Nokia. Most of these job cuts will be in the phone hardware business which will underscore the shift of the focus of the company towards software.
One third of the layoff will be based in Finland where a development unit will be shut down. After Satya Nadella took position as the chief executive in February 2014, he is making such a job cut for the second time now. It was also earlier said that job cuts of up to 18000 jobs will be made by July.
