Rider and pillion rider should wear helmet from 1st July

The Tamil Nadu Government on Wednesday based on the High Court directive has made helmets mandatory for pillion riders as well from July 1.
This time it will not like be the earlier days when we can skip by paying Rs 100 because Not wearing a helmet will now see two-wheeler riders losing all of their documents, including driver�s licenses, under section 206 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. Only the receipt for a new ISI-certified helmet will reverse the damage.
