Migrant Resource Centre to start functioning in Chennai from June 12

A Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) has been set up at Commissionerate of Rehabilitation & Welfare of Non-resident Tamils, Ezhilagam Annex Building, 4th Floor, Beach Road, Chepauk, Chennai-600005, Tamil Nadu.
MRC have been set up by The Union Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) and the government of Tamil Nadu. This centre will be functional from tomorrow.
MRC would provide to intending migrants and overseas Indian workers, information, guidance, advice and counselling on all aspects of overseas employment including legal and regulatory requirements; documentation and procedures; policies; and problems faced while working aboard.
MRC would also disseminate information on safe and legal migration and about the status of recruiting agents and other service providers; register and respond to complaints/ grievances within the redressal forum of MOIA; and offer counseling support (walk-in or telephone and e-mail support).
The MRC in Chennai is the fourth such MRC in India set up by MOIA.
