Sony acquires music rights of Thala 56

Ajith’s 56th film which is tentatively titled Thala 56 is being directed by Siruthai Siva. Shruthi Haasan, Lakshmi Menon, Soori, Ashwin and Mayilsamy are donning important roles. Anirudh is composing the music.
Shooting of the film which is supposed to take place in Kolkata is being shot in the sets replicating Kolkata in Chennai. Sequences pertaining to Ajith and Lakshmi Menon are being shot here. At this juncture, there is news that Sony Music who had acquired the audio rights of Ajith starrers Mankatha, Billa 2, Arrambam and Yennai Arindhaal has also now acquired the audio rights of Thala 56.
