CORPORATION IMPROVES SCHOOLS

Mayor M. Subramanian announced in the council meeting on Thursday that Chennai Corporation would make efforts to improve the quality of education and enable students to continue in the same schools and would upgrade 29 more schools.
The schools to be upgraded are the schools in CPT Colony, Arathoon Road, N.P.Koil Street, Kilpauk and Jaffarkhanpet. Corporation Education Department is expanded.
The Mayor is requested to visit the schools. In most of the schools, the class room condition is very substandard. It is not enough to provide all kinds of coaching. Students cannot concentrate in their studies if they sit among rubbles and dust
