Bharti Airtel mobile net packs that are sold online are set to get hiked for all pre-paid customers in the country. This will be applicable for both 2G and 3G customers. Discounts on purchasing mobile data packs online are withdrawn by the mobile network. This brings the rate more or less equal to that of offline purchase rate.
Announcing about this, the spokesperson of Airtel said a slight change in online prepaid data packs is done due to the discontinuation of offers. Further, the network has also hiked price of about 10 data packs. Earlier, the price of a 2GB data pack was Rs 199 which has validity for 30 days done online. This is now changed as a plan of 1.25 GB valid for 28 days.
Currently Airtel has a pack for 1GB of 3G data valid for 28 days and priced at Rs 255 which was earlier Rs 249 with a validity of 30 days.
Its to be noted that a price hike was made by Idea Cellular. The hike was of the range 100% for pre-paid customers belonging to NCR region. With this, Idea is the very first telecom operator.
