Banking sites and apps under threat

Deep Web hackers are now crawling through India-based banks and trying to attack their websites and mobile apps and disrupt their online services which in turn will have its effect on banking operations. These attacks are well planned and neatly scheduled, say cyber security experts.
Victims of these attacks include City Union Bank, Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank, and Vijaya Bank in the past two days. As per the hit-list of the onion side (onion site is the name given after the ending phrase of their site �.onion�), they will target mobile apps of top private bank and they have scheduled to target internet banking of nationalized bank on Friday.
Possibilities are that this attack may be either a planned one or a technical snag. However, the hit-list that was accessed by the deep web hackers group. According to this, these attacks are scheduled ones, say j.Prasanna, an expert in cyber security. He also added that there was a service denial by the City Union bank on Tuesday and the same happened with TMB on Wednesday.
He stressed that it looks like an attack but requires serious investigation for the same.
