Students can use old bus pass until they get new ones

The department of transportation has announced that school children can continue using their old bus pass as long as they receive new ones.
After completion of summer holidays, most schools in the city reopened yesterday, whereas few others are reopening today. Owing to this, the department of transportation is making necessary arrangement to provide free bus pass for school children which will take about one week. Until then, students can make use of old ones to travel in city buses, announced the department.
Speaking about this, officials at the transportation department stated necessary steps are being taken to provide bus pass to children at the earliest. The works are on the go and are taken care of by the officials from the department of transportation and education department. Bus passes will be distributed as soon as the transportation department receives details of students from the department of education. Nearly 30 lakh bus passes were distributed to students last year. And for this year, bus passes will be distributed according to the need. Students can continue using their old bus passes until they receive new ones. Necessary instructions for the same are given to the officials at the department.
