SOLAR ENERGY WILL GET DUE SIGNIFICANCE: STALIN

M K Stalin , the Deputy Chief Minister was delivering the valedictory address at ‘Tamil Nadu Solar Convention 2010` organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) on Tuesday.
He said that Tamil Nadu was the first State to harness wind energy on a big scale and it accounted for 43 per cent of the country`s installed capacity. Stalin said that the State government would l formulate an action plan on the lines of National Action Plan on Climate Change in which solar energy will get due significance.
He also released a report on ‘Solar Road Map for Tamilnadu’. He asked the Industry to participate in the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission to develop clean and green energy.
